My Web Site: modelrr.oakviewresources.com Part 66: This is a multi-part blog where I do some track work and put scenery on the interchange section of my model railroad. In this video I start putting on grass with my homemade static grass applicator. Music Notes: The music on this video was recorded using Sonar Home Studio Ver 6.0. The drums and keyboards were played on an M-Audio Keystation 61 ES and/or sequenced in the MIDI Editor. The bass used is an Ibanez RD 500 bass.

CAMPBELL RIVER – A group of North Island hobbyists are putting on a big show this weekend but their display will actually be on a small scale. Model railroaders are taking over the Campbell River museum for two days, an event which normally results in a record number of visitors to the facility. Ken Blackburn, Public Program Coordinator for the museum says the event is popular with visitors of all ages, particularly those who grew up with trains. The group has been making annual appearances at the museum for more than a decade. Model railroader Bill Vanbergen says model railroading has changed significantly over the years noting that more modern systems can now be operated by people’s home computers. He’s hoping more people will gain an interest in the hobby. The display is open at the museum on Saturday January 29th from 12-5 and Sunday January 30th from 12-4.

Question by lanimal2000: Im looking for an ho scale model of a wafflehouse?
Ive been searching everywhere for an ho scale wafflehouse for my model railroad, but not had any luck. Are these not available anywhere? I would even pay someone to build me one. I already have a few single wide trailers and a couple of old pick-up trucks n cars on blocks ready to put together near the tracks, now all I need is a place for the residents to eat !

I couldn’t find one either !! Amusing given all the other “chains” that have models in HO and N (I have a McDonald’s, KFC, and Denny’s in N-Scale) either through Summit Models or plans.

Here is Summit Models which has GREAT buildings: http://www.summit-customcuts.com/homeproducts/buildingshoscale.html

OH OH OH !!! Summit Models IS planning on releasing a Waffle House !! http://www.summit-customcuts.com/futureproducts.html

Here though are plans for a Denny’s: http://www.trains.com/mrr/objects/pdf/mr_cp_9-05_high-tech_01.pdf

I build N-Scale for the current Union Pacific in the San Joaquin and Santa Clara Valley’s… no Waffle House out here.

In case you can’t WAIT… here is their site if you wanted to build one from their photos: http://www.wafflehouse.com/default.asp

  1. All the way from Holland i’m enjoying your vids. but still I have a question

why do you have to hammer the nails into the woden underground. cant you just hold the nail into the glue? that saves you repairing the holes you’ve made

  2. It would look awsome if you extented the country road across the main road and in to the mountains.

  3. your right

  4. that would be awesome, I really look foward to making one.

  5. I cant wait til you start on the river part of your layout. You’re not even finished with your layout and it already looks more realistic than many of the other layouts that I’ve seen.

  6. I plan on writing an article (with pictures) and posting it on my website.
