Model Rail Roads Help

Question by Peggy C: Can anyone help get a Bachman HO model train to run?
I recently got a model train and I can not get it to run there seems to be power to the power supply it lights up when plugged in but I either have not got the track (EZ track my foot) together properly or I do not have the train set corrrectly to the track,. Anyone have any ideas

Be certain you have the connections to the track on the proper terminals. The red wire or wire that has a red stripe on it or any other designation different from the all black wire goes to the + terminal and of course the all black wire goes to the – terminal. Make sure all of the track segments are slipped together pin to sleeve. Finally make sure the power switch at the base of the locomotive is on.
