This video series, hosted by Michael Gross, will teach you the simple how-to workshop techniques you need to know to take an HO scale electric train set and make it a scenic model railroad. Well show you how to build a 4×8 model train table (benchwork) from plywood, lay sections of track, create easy realistic scenery using foam and paint, assemble model buildings, and wire your layout with a DC power pack. When youre done, youll have a railroad that operates well and looks real. Our techniques would work in N, O, S, G, or Z scale also. This video is scene 7, Scenery part 1 how-to. @hitchhiker38 They have a vieo of it.
how do you tack down your track on the foam or do you glue, if so how stable is this
Where did you get those buildings from?
wow i watch this video when we work on my lay out 5 stars
I love these kinds of videos. Really gives me good ideas and directions on ways to build. Really a lot better than finished layouts and “Heres what I did”.
One can get usually obtain the Dow blue, extruded polystrene foam from wholesale and retail stores that also supply lumber. I saw a large selection of Dow extruded foam at a Home Depot Store.
If your timing is right you could get some of the blue foam left-over from building or rebuilding structures in your area.
where do you get the phome because ive been looking every where for some
